David, I have made three more since posting... one is still in the final stages as I have to figure out what to do to close the cover (it has a flap). My plans are to use some of these as sketchbooks, some to give as gifts, and some will be used for printmaking. Tonite I started a silkscreen and will attempt to make some prints on paper after I get the screen filler on and then washed off (after it dries - probably tomorrow during a break at school or after class). This is a test to see if I can make multiple images on one page, fold into fours and then sew them into a book. If it goes well, I will be making several silkscreens with different images printed on them for one of the books. My plans are to make several different types of books. One will be filled with textile designs: this might be printed, hand drawn, painted, etc. not sure of the exact direction at this time. Another will be an attempt at a soft book made of hand painted, hand printed fabric materials.
This upcoming weekend I will be going to Houston to take another bookbinding workshop. I am also researching the works of art I want to review at the MOMA when I go to New York for the silkscreen workshop!
Pamela, I love these. I think it would be great to create handmade books of your prints or series of prints together.
